Introduction:
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a food and nutrition advocate. I am the Registered Dietitian for a large restaurant chain called Culver's. I know you may be thinking a Registered Dietitian working at a fast food restaurant??? Yes, that is correct. I have a lot of responsibilities but my main job is to manage the nutrition information that can be seen on our website. I also promote the Mindful Choices menu which highlights the healthier, lower calorie menu options that can be combined into meals 500 calories.
I love food, plain and simple. I love to eat, bake, and talk about food all day long. As a food and nutrition expert, I have learned the value of eating in moderation...but I am not perfect and sometimes my love of chocolate wins.
When I am not attending school, baking, or reading, I am an avid traveler and exercise fanatic! I love taking hikes, training for half marathons, lifting weights, and attending spin classes, but my latest activity has been TRX. Through trial and error I have learned the importance of nutrition in fueling my activities and this blog is a place where I can transfer some of my experiences to you.
My blog contains a Recipe Box of my all-time favorite recipes, but each recipe has been "healthified"....my definition for unhealthy food given a healthy spin.
